Alocasia Wentii Pink Variegated

Alocasia Wentii Pink Variegated, also sold as Alocasia ‘Uhinkii’ Pink Variegated, is a rare collector Alocasia prized for its broad, glossy green leaves, rich violet-purple undersides, and unpredictable blush-pink to creamy-white variegation.

The variegation may appear as large pink sectors, cream splashes, marbling, or smaller streaks across the leaf surface. Because the variegation is naturally variable, every leaf and every specimen develops differently.

Its larger, upright growth makes it especially attractive as a statement plant, while the purple undersides add colour even when viewed from below.

This listing is for a rooted, established and acclimated plant. Each specimen is individually photographed — the exact plant shown in the product photos is the plant you will receive.

What you see is what you receive.

WHY COLLECTORS LOVE IT

Standard Wentii is already known for its broad green foliage and distinctive purple-toned undersides. The pink-variegated form adds blush, cream, and pale-pink colouring that creates additional contrast across the large leaves.

Some leaves may develop bold pink panels, while others show finer marbling or lighter cream splashes. The combination of deep green upper surfaces, pink variegation, and purple undersides gives this plant colour from multiple angles.

Unlike compact jewel Alocasia, Wentii Pink develops into a larger plant. With good care, it can become an impressive floor plant or statement specimen for a bright indoor space.

PINK VARIEGATION & GROWTH

The green foliage and purple undersides are characteristic features of the plant, while the pink and cream variegation is naturally unpredictable.

Future leaves may show more, less, or differently placed pink colouring. Some may develop large sectors, while others may be more green or lightly marbled.

Future variegation cannot be guaranteed. Reversion is possible, and the balance of pink, cream, and green may change as the plant matures.

Highly variegated areas contain less chlorophyll and may be more susceptible to cosmetic browning than greener tissue.

CARE

Light: Bright, indirect light. Strong filtered light supports healthy growth and attractive variegation. Avoid harsh direct sun, which can scorch pink and cream sections.

Water: Allow the top 2–3 cm of substrate to begin drying before watering thoroughly. Let excess water drain completely and reduce watering when growth slows.

Humidity: Approximately 60–80% humidity with good airflow is preferred. A humidifier can be especially helpful during dry Canadian winters.

Temperature: Keep warm and stable, ideally around 18–28°C. Protect from cold drafts and prolonged temperatures below 15°C.

Substrate: Use a chunky, airy, fast-draining aroid mix containing materials such as orchid bark, perlite or pumice, and coco coir.

Fertilizer: Feed lightly during active spring and summer growth. Reduce or pause feeding during periods of slower growth.

Water quality: Room-temperature filtered water can be helpful where tap water is particularly hard or mineral-heavy.

Toxicity: Like other Alocasia, this plant contains calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept away from pets and children if ingestion is possible.

WENTII PINK VS. COMPACT ALOCASIA

Alocasia Wentii Pink is a larger-growing variety, making it different from compact collector types such as Black Velvet, Maharani, or Melo.

Choose Wentii Pink if you want larger foliage, upright growth, purple undersides, and pink variegation in a statement-sized Alocasia.
