Alocasia Dragon Scale Albo — Alocasia baginda Dragon Scale albo variegated, Alocasia baginda Albo-Variegata, Dragon Scale albo, Alocasia Dragon Scale white variegated. Alocasia baginda (2010), Eastern Kalimantan, Borneo. "Baginda" = "king" in Malay. White-to-cream chimeric variegation on the deeply bullate dragon-scale blade. Variegation is three-dimensional — sitting within raised ridges and recessed channels, not flat on a smooth surface. Contrast at green-to-pale borders makes the bullate texture more visible. Each leaf unique. New leaves emerge softer — full texture and albo contrast develop over 1–3 weeks. Photographed individually. What you see is what you receive.
Not Silver Dragon Albo: Both are A. baginda cultivars. Dragon Scale: deep green, dark venation. Silver Dragon: silvery-grey metallic base. Albo sectors contrast more dramatically against Dragon Scale's deep green. For the darker, bolder base — Dragon Scale Albo.

CARE REQUIREMENTS
| ☀️ Light | Bright indirect light. Direct sun scorches albo sections first. Grow lights recommended for Canadian winters. |
| 💧 Watering | Water after top few cm of substrate dry. Drain completely. Albo sections show stress first. Reduce in fall/winter. |
| 💦 Humidity | 65–80% preferred; 60% minimum. Browning on pale areas = humidity first. Canadian winter drops to 25–40% — humidifier essential. Do not mist — water in ridges promotes fungal issues. |
| 🌡️ Temperature | 18–27°C. No cold drafts. Below 15°C triggers stress and dormancy. |
| 🪴 Soil | Loose aroid mix — bark, coco fibre, pumice or perlite. Pot close to root-ball size. |
| 🌱 Fertiliser | Half-strength balanced feed every 4 weeks spring/summer. None in winter or first 3–4 weeks after arrival. |
| 🐾 Toxicity | Toxic to cats, dogs, children. |

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Dragon Scale vs Silver Dragon — and their Albo forms?
Both are A. baginda cultivars. Dragon Scale: deep green, high-contrast dark venation. Silver Dragon: silvery-grey metallic base. White sectors contrast most dramatically against Dragon Scale's deep green. For the darker, richer base, Dragon Scale Albo is correct.
Is the variegation stable?
Chimeric, unstable — each leaf unique. Bullate texture and deep green are stable; albo sectors are not. Reversion uncommon.
Why does my new leaf look flat and pale?
Normal. New leaves emerge softer — bullate texture and deep green develop over 1–3 weeks as the leaf hardens. Albo contrast strengthens with maturity.
Can I propagate it?
Yes — rhizome or corm division. Albo in offsets not guaranteed to match parent; each develops independently.
