Alocasia Amazonica Pink Variegated (Thai Version) — Alocasia amazonica pink chimeric variegated, Alocasia amazonica pink variegata, Amazonica Albo Pink variegated Thai, pink variegated African Mask plant. Compact, Polly-proportioned — shelf and cabinet suitable. Chimeric blush-to-pale-pink variegation on the near-black, white-veined Amazonica blade. Pink is anthocyanin-driven and genetically determined — not environmental. Pink intensifies as leaves mature — lighter tones on arrival are normal. Each leaf unique. Photographed individually. What you see is what you receive.
Not the US Clone: US Clone has larger, broader shield-like leaves. Thai Version is compact and Polly-proportioned. Same pink variegation; different scale. Also distinct from Polly Snowflake Pink and Bambino Pink Variegated.

CARE REQUIREMENTS
| ☀️ Light | Bright indirect light. Low light reduces pink intensity. No direct sun — pink sections scorch faster than green. Grow lights recommended for Canadian winters. | |
| 💧 Watering | Water when top 2–3 cm is dry. Drain completely. More sensitive to root stress than standard Amazonica. Reduce in winter. | |
| 💦 Humidity | 60–80% preferred; 55% minimum. Browning on pink = humidity problem first. Canadian winter drops to 25–40% — humidifier essential. | |
| 🌡️ Temperature | 20–27°C (68–80°F). No cold drafts. Below 15°C triggers leaf drop and dormancy. | |
| 🪴 Soil | Chunky aroid mix — orchid bark, perlite, coco coir. Evenly moist, never waterlogged. | |
| 🌱 Fertiliser | Half-strength balanced liquid feed every 3–4 weeks spring/summer. None in winter or first 3–4 weeks after arrival. | Toxic to cats, dogs, children (calcium oxalates). Keep out of reach. |

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Thai Version vs US Clone?
Thai Version: compact, Polly-proportioned — shelf-friendly. US Clone: larger, broader shield-like leaves with stronger venation. Same pink variegation; different leaf scale. Thai for compact display; US Clone for maximum leaf presence.
Is the variegation stable?
Chimeric and unstable — each leaf unique. Pink is genetic (anthocyanin), not environmental. Pattern shifts every leaf; won't disappear with good care. Reversion uncommon in well-selected stock.
Why does the pink look lighter on new leaves?
Normal — anthocyanin deepens as leaves mature. Lighter tones on arrival intensify over days. Pigment development, not stress or fading.
Can I propagate it?
Yes — corm division. Pink expression in offsets is not guaranteed to match the parent. Characteristic of all chimeric variegated Alocasia.
